Exploring the Hintertux Glacier

Every Monday, Wednesday & Friday from July to September an experienced glacier guide from the Tuxertal Ski School will take you on an exciting and eventful discovery tour of the Hintertux Glacier.
At a spectacular 3,250 m you will learn more about the surrounding mountains and enjoy the breathtaking view. You will hike over glacier ice thousands of years old, past mighty turquoise-blue icefalls and learn interesting facts about the formation and structure of our glacier.

Into the Zillertal cycling pleasure

From beginner or family tours to challenging mountain bike routes - there is something for everyone on our more than 800 km of well-maintained routes of all levels of difficulty. A leisurely excursion with the family along the Ziller- or would you prefer to conquer a three-thousander? 800 km of extended bike and cycle tours leave nothing to be disired . . . Under the following link the individual cycle paths are described in detail and a height profile allows the selection of the right routes for each cyclist.

Nordic Walking in the idyllic Tux mountain world

Sporting "full body training" on the one hand and experiencing the Tyrolean natural landscape on the other hand is possible through "walking sticks". To enjoy the new sport right from the start, an introductory course with a Nordic Walking trainer is recommended.
The nordicsports active center is located in Tux, the high valley at the foot of the Hintertux glacier. The ideal altitude offers ideal conditions for sports and nature lovers! The idyllic mountain and glacier world (1,300-3,250 m) with healthy mountain air offers 80 km of Nordic walking trails and 350 km of marked hiking trails in summer.

Climbing - the new trend sport

More and more people want to go up, preferably via a via ferrata or a rock. The holiday region Tux-Finkenberg offers the best  conditions with the via ferrata and area Spannagel and Penken . . .
